A warm, modern custom home we just finished. Here’s the full walkthrough.
We just finished one of our favorite homes to date, and we wanted to walk you through it.
It’s a ground-up custom build here in Southwest Florida — warm wood, a lot of glass, and good light in every room. Modern, but not cold. Here’s what we’d point out if you were standing in the doorway with us.
It’s the room that stops people. We wrapped it in walnut top to bottom and kept the fronts clean, so the wood is what you see instead of rows of handles. The island is one long slab of white quartz that folds over both ends to the floor. Photos don’t do it justice — it’s better in person.

The living room runs straight out to the water through full-height glass that slides away. Behind the TV we built a walnut slat wall to carry the wood across the room so it never feels like a blank box. Little detail, but it pulls the whole space together.

We wanted the primary bath to feel like the best hotel you’ve ever stayed in. A freestanding tub in the middle, stone from floor to ceiling, and a frameless glass shower so nothing chops up the room. You relax a little just walking in.

The details people skip are the ones we sweat. A closet that’s actually built out, not left as an empty room. A laundry finished to the same level as the kitchen. The same walnut and stone carried through the house, so it reads as one home instead of a set of rooms.
